Local Volunteer Opportunities
In honor of the season of giving, we wanted to share some local volunteer opportunities in order to give back to the community that gives so much to us!
Look no further than A&N Lawn Service for this volunteer opportunity. We will be collecting new unopened toys for the less fortunate children at Christmas time, and there will be a donation bin at our retail location. If you don’t wish to donate toys there are other ways to make a difference. Go to their website at www.toytsfortots.org for more information on how you can help.
Every year Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are hosted by the Social Services Department of the Salvation Army of Western Pennsylvania for those in need. They are always looking for volunteers to serve and help out, check out their website wpa.salvationarmy.org to find where and when you can volunteer.
This very special organization has been around since 1984, and allows you to pick a patient or facility you prefer. Once you get matched with a facility and buy a gift, you will get to hand deliver it to them! There are options if time is not on your side and you can’t be there in person, check them out at www.presentsforpatients.com
